Plans for all skill levels
Our plans contain enough detail that the novice with a few hand tools and the skilled woodworker with specialized power tools can build these projects, using the resources and tools they are most comfortable with. For the most part, the plans are designed to be built with readily available wood stock and molding. No compromises are made in the appearance or function of the toys by using standard materials. Each plan set includes complete instructions and detailed drawings with dimensions.

In a museum in Germany’s Black Forest, is a very old folk toy that uses clay marbles, remarkably similar to the one described in our plans. The notable feature of the Marble Wizard is its escapement - a simple, yet intriguing, wood mechanism that automatically dispenses marbles from an upper track, one at a time, to roll down through the toy. We honestly don’t know why children are so fascinated with this particular toy. Many parents tell us that it can hold a young person’s attention far longer than many modern electronic gizmos. Many adults are intrigued by and play with this toy. However, it is intended for children from four through about 9 years of age.
This Original Marble Pump is designed with unique wooden moving parts and uses standard 5/8" glass marbles (not included) to create an interactive experience for children ages four and older.
Pumping the handle actuates a simple, yet ingenious mechanism, to deliver these marbles back to the top of the Marble Wizard. Here, the marbles are again dispensed, one at a time, automatically by the MarbleWizard escapement. This fascinating process repeats as long as a person continues to pump marbles. Kids and adults love it. Just don't let any engineers or Tim Allen types near it!
